TOUR DESCRIPTION
Madrid – a vibrant metropolis full of energy, pride, a city that never sleeps. An old-hearted town with a fresh juvenile spirit, a perfect mix of liveliness and splendour. Here you will discover the true Spain and its landmarks – Royal Palace Palacio Real, the most famous squares Puerto del Sol and Plaza Mayor, Las Ventas bullfighting arena, and especially the so-called “Golden Triangle of Art”, Museum of the Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen Bornemisza. You should not miss the flea market El Rastro or flamenco performances. Just a short drive from Madrid there is the medieval Toledo, the seat of the Spanish Church and one of the most beautiful cities in the country or the monumental El Escorial, the seat of kings. Olé!
Day 1 – Arrival
After your arrival to Madrid you will be driven by an English speaking guide to your hotel in the city centre. You can get acquainted with the hotel, its services or surroundings because there is no fixed program today. Just relax, have a small siesta. Night in a 3-star hotel.
Day 2 – Panoramic tour of Madrid
You start today discovering the city! You have morning off before going on an afternoon Panoramic Tour. Devote your first day in Madrid to discovering its important landmarks. This is the best tour to get acquainted with the city. In two and half hours you’ll see the most important buildings, avenues and squares with an expert official guide who will explain about the monuments and the history of each one. If you want to discover more, visit Palacio Real, witness one of the most typical Spanish traditions – the Bullfight, corrida, or visit a flamenco show, we´ll book tickets for you. Night in the hotel.
Day 3 – Toledo tour (full day)
Toledo, about 70 kms south of Madrid, is a World Heritage Site offering architectural gems ranging from the Gothic to the Baroque. See its buildings and Spanish monuments. Continue to El Escorial and marvel over the 16th-century royal edifice. Dedicate the rest of the trip to the Valley of the Fallen and its basilica. At night, visit the city squares bathed in bright light. Night in the hotel.
Day 4 – Day at leisure
You can either go to the attractions outside of Madrid, such as Avila, which gave birth to Santa Teresa and you can stop at Segovia and see the 11th-century Alcazar and Aqueduct. Or what about staying in the city and discovering it more deeply? You should not miss a visit to Museum of the Prado. If you are leaving Madrid today, we´ll take you to the airport, so that you catch your flight. End of services.
